Saix Local with Saix SMTP Access Wanted

I called them Tuesday evening at about 21:00. Spoke to a chap whose name started with an A and he was on ADSL support. By his accent, he may have been Coloured but this is just my impression rather than a fact.

One thing I forgot to mention is that my accounts are prepaid.

Why doesn't someone else confirm my findings?

The inability of smtp.saix to send to international domains is a SAIX limitation, and is based on an access control list that they have defined for local only accounts. It's been that way since they began offering local only accounts. For the specific reasoning behind this one would have to refer to SAIX themselves.

Ah now I get it. I am sending to mail servers located locally, not international ones.

Makes sense.

So is he saying.

If you connect to smtp.saix.whatever from and capped accout, the smtp server will then say "well you're connecting from a local ip therfore i will not route your mail to and international smtp" ?

Well I've just tested this now, switched off my normal shaped account leaving the local only connected. Ok?

Then I sent a test message to my gmail account and it was delivered before I had time to refresh the page.

So the thot plickens.

Someone give me an email address on an international server and I'll send you a test message.

Just setup a mail account on an international server for you to test with Hilton, sent you a PM with the address.

Why are some users above recieving saix smtp access on their local accounts then?

EDIT: So you claim your accounts provide smtp access to local email addresses?
