Hi guys

Are you also experiencing problems accessing the site? For me it started around 12:00 today. It goes through, but is far from fast or ‘stable’.

Regards,

RPM

I currently am at the office we have a diginet line through IS and right now it seems the site is reporting allot of VB errors when ever you do anything to the site. Don't know why, something gone amiss on the site?

I was getting a destination host unreachable earlier to www.mybroadband.co.za around 12 today. This was on capetown saix adsl. It was accesable via international through openweb proxy though.

Had similar problems. International has also been terrible for me today. Could hardly do any work on my servers in the US. Things seem to be better now, but still:
ping www.google.com -n 50
Ping statistics for 66.249.85.99:
Packets: Sent = 50, Received = 42, Lost = 8 (16% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 526ms, Maximum = 949ms, Average = 590ms

ping www.saix.net -n 50
Ping statistics for 196.25.1.200:
Packets: Sent = 50, Received = 47, Lost = 3 (6% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 74ms, Maximum = 340ms, Average = 166ms

You'd think for the price we pay we'd at least be able to have usable access!

Hi guys

I have received feedback from Hetzner (great service from them...always call back with relevant info). There was/is indeed a problem but UUNet said that they have sorted out the problems from earlier today. Will give details as soon as I hear more.

Regards,

RPM

Had same problem as Vio, also from the Western Cape region on SAIX ADSL.

Seems to be resolved though.

It appeared to be a peering issue at first, then I noticed that all connectivity beyond Bellville. Looked like a SAIX melt down for a while. That is over Diginet and ADSL. All routing to UUNET went via NY and MIA for a few minutes.

Telkom/UUNET connectivity from ADSL is pathetic during the day. Telkom sites are fine (nice for them) but UUNET/IS-based IP's are incredibly slow.

we've been having consistently bad connectivity issues for about a month now. Uncapped business DSL -> IS, Iburst -> UUnet. All our local servers are hosted directly on IS and UUnet backbones. International: We've had better luck maintaining persistent connections to our oracle grid at rackspace! Overall, there seems something wrong between IS and UUnet.

Just the way Telkom would want it.
