Salary transparency at Stack Overflow

We believe (and developers tell us) that job seekers should be empowered with as much information as possible when looking for a job – especially salary. So we ran an experiment on Stack Overflow Jobs to see if the evidence would support it.

Remarkably, we learned that job listings which include a salary range got 75% more clicks than job listings that don’t. With this experiment, we’re even more convinced that transparency isn’t just the right thing to do, it’s good for companies, too.

Rest at https://blog.stackoverflow.com/2016/07/salary-transparency/

MYBB should take some of this into consideration.

I have been contemplating it for ages now issue is I'm with Capitec so I have no idea how payments work.

I don't trust PayPal

No issues, I get paid by Google. Just provide them the SWIFT code.

No disrespect but you seem to be too much a jack of all trades master of none type of guy. I am myself trying to specialize more so I can start being competitive internationally.

I have received money on paypal. They are trustworthy enough. Lots of scammers use it though so just be careful who you pay. Receiving money on it there is no risk

Unless you're with FNB I think, there is no way of getting the money into your bank account.

You may have missed my reply to your post then.

Payment work perfectly. I've received money from the USA, China and some European country, all worked fine.

Go find the post, details were in there.

You mean the Salary Calculator for working at SO? Apparently I would make about $200k :p

Edit: Ah - I see the listings at the bottom. It would be useful to sort by salary.

With FNB you can receive wire transfers into your account from overseas. Not with capitec :(

Jack of all when it comes to this yea, this is not my profession. I do have my own set of skills that sets me apart dear sir. I have to back up my lavish lifestyle somehow :p

Not everyone on the forum is a competitor to YOU. Some of us have other skills that pays the bills.
Keep that in mind next time.

And receiving money is a big risk since they can easily reverse payments or fake the mails that paypal send to tell you it's being held for a while

Don't use PayPal for international payments unless it's a smaller amount, it's more expensive and more hassle than just having it wired straight to your bank account.
