Hopefully someone can help me with this. A friend of mine and myself are trying to play some online poker on partypoker.com. Everything works fine until we sit down at the same table. The poker system then seems to think we are the same person. Could this be because we are both connecting through Vodacom 3G (Different numbers though)? It looks like the poker system is picking up the same IP from both of us.

Anyone know if this is the case or how to fix this?

Its probably because you're both going through the same proxy server. Only way I can think of fixing it is asking to be provisioned on the internetvpn apn which then gives you a routable IP address, not sure how/if Vodacom uses proxies though so it might not work.

Its very easy to get provisioned for the internetvpn apn, just phone 155 and they'll do it for you. Just not sure it'll help to be honest.

Definitely get switched to the internetvpn segment, this should certainly fix the problem. I do many advanced things over the web and run a number of servers and in the beginning days of Vodacom-Data it was a nightmare going through the original internet segment. When I got provisioned to internetvpn all those problems disappeared.
