Looking at getting a 22" monitor. Was pretty much set on the Samsung 2232GW, until I saw the 2243BWX for about the same price.

Reliable reviews on the 2243BWX are hard to find. Can anyone tell me, from their personal experience, which one is better?
 
I'm not sure how old the 2243BWX is... I've seen the 32GW in the flesh and it's an excellent monitor. I do know that the 53GW is the newest in the Samsung range. But it has the same limited stand as the 32GW...

Check out the 2253GW or BW. Saw a few at Incredible Connection, very nice displays
 
I haven't seen this monitor in the flesh, would be interesting to hear what those that do have experience with it have to say.

Though you would probably not regret buying the 2232GW ;)
 
I have a 2232GW and its awesome, I absolutely love it.
I havnt seen the one you are talking about but pretty much all of Samsungs monitors are good, unless of course you get one without a S panel...

Yeah stand is sucky. Tho the 53GW/BW series has vesa holes :D
And this range is replacing the 32GW.... Good to bear in mind if you plan on getting a second or third or forth..... monitor at a later stage

The screen itself is great - better than my 226BW even. But the stand is not.

It wobbles for one. It is hard to attach/detach. AND there are no VESA holes so you cannot use your own stand at all.

Also, at the back, whereas my 226BW has a cover which hides all the cables and sockets and looks all smooth, the 2232GW just has a hole at the back and the cables just hang there and look untidy.

Worth considering perhaps.

Yip.

The screens are very similar to my eye at least, with the 2232GW appearing to be slightly deeper colour-wise, but it is not a bid difference.

I much prefer the look of the 226 but shops no longer had any when I wanted to buy a 2nd one, which is the only reason I got a 2232GW :p
And then obviously:
 
THe 2243 is a non-glossy version of the 2253's panel.
the 2243 is a business monitor and has got a nice stand with good height adjustment.

EDIT:
I have seen both and apart from the stand, the only noticeable difference is the one is glossy and the other is not. I would prefer the non-glossy, because you never ever get those glossy coatings clean again.
 
Does anyone know how to tell if I am getting the S screen?
I am looking at getting the T220 from sahara or tarsus. do you know if there is a way to tell by serial number or something?
