Was thinking about getting the same one a few weeks back. I remember GAME had it for R5999........ But I have not seen one myself to determine the picture quality. And I believe this is still the analogue model and if DOC ever will switch to digital signal by November this year we need to get a set-top box.......

Samsung Moniter = Auto win

Lets face it, they got the best LCD TV/Moniters around, they can be trusted ;)

Rather go 1 model better and get the higher spec SONY or Panasonic with motion blur control

No, not the ones places like Game/Makro ect keep, go to a specialist AV store.

It makes a huge difference

For the lower end models they are ok, but the higer end Panasonics blow these away.

Low end Samsung use Taiwanese Panels, only highend models use its own panel. But Sharp panel is still the best currently, isn't it?

We just went through this here:
http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=118869

But I'd rather go for one of these:
http://za.lge.com/md/product/prodca...00000003&categoryLevel=3&productId=1100000797

Which you can get for R 5999, almost anywhere...

Before I got my Panasonic I went to 3 diffrent AV shops, and all 3 reccomended not going LG because of the quality of its build.

Dont know how true it is, but they all said they have had problems with them.

They reccomended Sony or Samsung in those ranges.

Dont know about the new Scarlet LG's

One should also go see the units in a store to see howmuch light they reflect back at you.
Nothing more irritating than your lights reflecting in the tv.
Each make is diferent.

Samsung R81 >> Samsung S81 !!!

And for R7000 => wait for the Game special to come back where they had a Sony Bravia S-Series 32" for R6999-00 (with a free DVD player and wall-mount bracket). I heard a rumour that this was old stock, though, but you could always verify with them.

The new Scarlet's are quite expensive, although they do boast some impressive specs. With regard to build quality of the LG's this is true but in my experience only with the full hd models, 42" and bigger. The 32" I have found to be very reliable.

Since we are considering "lower end" and smaller sizes, I would seriously consider the LG as good value for money! Also remember that the LG32LC7 competes with the Samsung 32R81 which is a higer spec to the 32S81.
