Hello guys,
About a year ago my family purchased two Samsung LA40D503F7R 40" TVs from Tafelberg Furnishers in Diep River. The one TV has largely been unused for a number of reasons. I have moved in the house and started making use of the one TV, however it seems the HDMI port has problems. On the one TV everything appears to work perfectly - media player, PC, laptop, etc. The other I cannot get ANY PC or laptop to work, the media player randomly turns on after about 5 minutes (when plugging in, a slight flicker occurs), but an Xbox 360 works 100% perfectly.
I returned the TV to Tafelberg Furnishers and it took about three weeks to a month for it to be collected by Liptronics, a Samsung service company. The job number states the date 22/01/2014. I then received the TV back but the fault was exactly the same. George at Liptronics called me and explained it was run through their systems and no problems were found, and that I must be selecting the wrong settings. However considering I own two of them, I can tell the one is performing erratically?
I have tried contacting George at Liptronics and Samsung a few times but they never get back to me. Tafelberg Furnishers are trying to follow up but still, to do this date, there is no progress. I have also made a post on the Samsung South Africa Facebook Page and they asked me to email, but still no follow up.
So does this sound like a fault or is there something I can check?
