Samsung 40" LCD panel issue

Hi All

Today I turned my TV on and it seems that my Black colour has been replaced by Red. Has anyone else had this and is this hardware or software related? I did a google search and it seems there are 2 views either being the board or the settings ( under advanced TV setup ). Is this TV toast or have other people been able to fix it?

Probably worth of repair if it is a control board or a backlit, depends how old.
