So I recently bought a new Samsung UA43RU7100K tv for my younger brother a few months back and he has started complaining about objects that look like a double image during motion (ghosting), mostly noticable during gameplay and spinning the camera around.

I spent the weekend playing around with the tv and absolutely nothing has taken the affect away except turning the TVs backlight to full (50) but now this also means that the tv is always at full brightness which is a massive trade off.

So I thought I'd ask if anyone has any suggestions first before I try contacting kloppers for assistance. The TVs model number is UA43RU7100K.

I have tried each individual setting and a combination of settings, tried each custom profile such as pc mode, tried eliminating the external device like my pc and console, tried factory resetting the tv, tried input signal plus, tried game mode on and off, tried turning off all motion settings to no avail.

Sounds like you've tried everything. Game mode doesn't help at all? Does the RU7100 have an auto motion plus setting? The budget 4K Samsung TVs do have pretty bad ghosting.

I was planning to get a bigger version of this model until I had done a lot of research and saw that it scored really badly on frame rate interpolation and motion. Sucked because the much improved RU8000 with VRR was a lot more. I ended up having to spend a lot more than planned to get a good picture for gaming and 4K.

Your bro got a free TV. He should be happy.
