Samsung A22 or A32?

LMAO
That model doesn't exist for sale online then.
All I'm getting is this:

All double the price.
Please share links for a R5000 S20 FE.
I have not looked for online prices in south africa (I went with Xiaomi note 10 pro myself)

but for instance, if you compare contract price of the A22/A32/A50/A70 and then compare that to the S20 FE you will see why I am under the impression its the same price.

not saying get a contract, but that is what I based the S20 FE price off.

How about banking apps - have you tested with Nedbank / FNB / Absa apps? Are they OK with a custom ROM?
I am a pokemon go addict. so if rooting messes with pokemon go I will undo it. and banking apps use the same method to check for root as pokemon go does.

so after the 21 august when my phone is rooted and I am on the EU rom I will let you know if everything is working as it should

Cool. You using Magisk to hide root then? Are you using Pokemod or other app? I find PGSharp does mostly what you need without need for root. It's really good these days. Only feature I really like in Pokemod is shinies showing up on the map before you tap them.

wow, do you set your batroom scale to -2KG as well so you can immpress people with what your weight?

do you use inflatable weights so you can post your bench pressing performance on social media?

what kind of stupid lazy person cheats in a game that is meant to let you walk more? really?

you know what if you use PGsharp just get a Galaxy A1, you dont deserve a real smartphone.

Wow, what a knob lol
dude, you are admitting to cheating at a game.
a game that has no end goal, no financial gain, no fame, no competitive scene.

literally the only thing you have to gain from the game is exploring the world around you and having fun finding new places.

how freaking dumb are you? I need to understand this. do you buy new T-Shirts for each day because washing them would dilute the colour?
because that makes exactly as much sense as cheating in pokemon go does.

and you know what is most likely even more ridiculous? the fact that without knowing a single thing about you I can feel safe in making the bet that I have achieved more in Pokemon go than you have in every measurable metric while I have never cheated and you have.

you should re-evluate your life choices and your priorities.

I would go with the A32 rather than the A22, because of the brighter screen, better camera for taking photos of coffee and braai, and some other thingies.

But I would also head over to GSM Arena and compare with something like the Redmi Note 10S and 10 Pro.

Although stock is currently low on the Xiaomi Phones. Can also check on the Xiaomi Takealot store.

Samsung I generally good quality and can't go wrong I think.

I love Xiaomi and specifically MIUI.

My wife just got an A22, she likes it. Seems fast enough and does everything she needs. Canceled her old contract not even a year in as she hated the huawei y6p she got last year.

Not idea if it supports Samsung pay though, I'm probably taking the same phone next year so would love to know if the phone supports it.

A32 | A32 5G (NFC only)

I bought an A22 on Saturday but was considering the A32 as well. I went for the A22 because of price and OIS on the rear camera.

I'll compare it to my Galaxy Tab S5e since I've been using that for several months now. Both devices are on Android 11.

Screen: The Tab is far better but also rather higher resolution, a bit disappointed with the A22 screen but it's workable. Both devices have Amoled screens.
Sound: Okay on the A22, superb on the Tab with it's 4 speakers especially with Dolby Atmos on.
General responsiveness of the devices: A22 wins here. Navigating around screens is smooth. Games seem to run much better. 90 Hz refresh rate on the A22 vs 60 Hz on the Tab.
Battery life: A bit early to tell, but seems similar on both devices. Charging time seems similar.
Cameras: Tab only has a single rear camera although it can shoot 4k video. A22 wins with OIS and more available camera options. The Tab is just too awkward to hold to easily shoot video or photos.
Connectivity: Similar but the Tab has Dex and can connect to an external HDMI monitor via a dongle or USB C hub including support for wired keyboard, mouse and external speakers.

To be fair the Tab is almost 3 times the price of the A22.

Conclusion: Satisfied with purchase.

Ask away if you have any questions.

Does the A22 have NFC?

That's very helpful Andre. I'm keen to see one or two low light shots if you have the time.
I haven't really tried any low light shots but will give it a go later. Only played briefly with the camera so far but I must say wide angle outdoor shots look pretty decent in daylight with good contrast and colour saturation.

I'm liking the OIS so far - one of the reasons I went for the A22 instead of A32.

One unfortunate issue I've encountered is using a transparent soft case at the back of the phone causes the flash effect to be smeared across the photo which looks really horrible. Removing the case solves the problem. The phone is pretty new so I haven't been able to find a book type cover yet.

Other stuff:
The phone works fine with my Buds Live, Dolby Atmos is supported (earphones only).
The finger print sensor is on the power key at the side and works instantly. Facial recognition is pretty hit and miss, mostly miss, especially indoors.

Anyone else having issues with the fingerprint scanner on a 32? I struggle a bit with it
other than that, its an awesome phone, I have the dual sim version, really good phone
