So, this thing is on special at Incredible corruption for R999, real bargain, very tempting. I've got an HP B&W laser at the moment, so a step up to colour would be nice (I will never go back to ink!)

Has anyone else bought one? Verdict? Should I get it?

I have one.

It's not bad. Good value, prints colour great. Cartridges are pretty cheap.

It has 2 very serious downfalls though: it prints black text REALLY badly. Looks worse than inkjet (very fuzzy). Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but the HP 1018 that I have prints text PERFECTLY. The second downfall is that it's SLOW. VERY slow. Time from turning-on till printed copy comes out (assuming a queued document) is probably about a minute. Once it's on, etc, it's nice and quick though.

2000/1000 Letter Pages(Black/Colour), Ships with Standard Yield Black/Colour Toner Cartridges with 1500/700 Letter Pages at 5% Coverage

We're also looking at it. If the black text's fuzzy, then I won't be happy with it, will insists on a demo before buying it.

Shot!, maybe I'll wait then. Cyberdyne already has the no-name refill carts, about 1/2 price of the originals, R250-245

Damn, wish I had my scanner, then I'd scan you some prints to show you.
