I saw this at Incredible for 1600 ... just curious about two things since I've had a laser :

How much is the ink/toner/laser thing?

I always buy inkjets, print a few pages over months, then everything is dry :(

Does a laser last long? Doesn't dry or anything?

That's the problem with ink.
A laser uses toner powder so you might have to shake it about after a long time.

The cartridges for most lasers are costly, around < R900 (mono). I haven't looked at colour.

Depending on the toner it takes you can refill it. I've only refilled the black toner cartridges; not sure about the colour.

The original toner cartridges for the HP printers we use at work are ~ R700, while refilling costs ~ R225. The compatibles are ~ R400.

Maybe check with your local pc store if the cartridges from the printer you want can be refilled.

Whether you print a few or many pages a month, laser printers works out much more economical per page as well as the fact that the toner don't dry up.

True dat!
I will never buy an inkjet printer again. At least not the Epson versions. Next time i will save up for a laser instead. The economy on printing that i get with my little mono laser is just amazing...well at least to me :p

As soon as you mentioned Incredible I puked in my mouth a little. Said it a million times since my last purchase.... not buying there again after them defrauding me.... :(

Also, rather buy a new cartridge. You might void your warranty.
