I invested in my samsung in december. Last night i was told by mtn customer care that the reason why i am getting connection problems is because of my bad quality phone. If an edge phone is poor quality phone please can u guys advise me of what phone would b the better soltion.

What problems are you experiencing in particular ? Is it the handset browser or are you attempting to use the handset as a modem to your PC ?

nokia 6230i is a good edge phone, each edge phone has classes and metinks the edge class is either a 9 or 10

Yes same thing mtn told me in december the samsung is a class 10

Thats rather strange. Are you trying to use a particular application like MXIT or just browsing sites on the handset browser ?

Cant even get mtn loaded just tells me connection 2 server lost even if im busy surfing when it gets 2 7pm it just stops.

On your active profile try switching the APN(Access Point Name) to internet instead of myMTN.

K I will try that 2night will let u know. Do u think the firmware might need updating? customer care suggested that due 2 me having an old phone (Didnt think 4 months is that old) I might need 2 get a newer phone or take it in 4 a firmware update

Lets test that change in APN first. If that fails then we will look at alternate solutions

Not working says connection 2 server lost. I think the part that makes me angry the most is that my vodacom phone is working and i tested it in my samsung n is working. Phoned 173 they said that there is no network or gprs problems in the pinetown area. error on the t610 says network busy try again later.
