Samsung Galaxy A72 discontinued?

So I've just been informed that the A72 is discontinued (end of life) and no more stock will be received in SA. Which is strange, because it only launched a few months ago.

Can anyone confirm?

It seems Vodacom is still receiving stock of the A72 however, Telkom is having stock issues.

I just got off a call with an MTN agent trying do an upgrade she said it has been discontinued yes. Chipset problem she said. What am I supposed then do with the one they gave me last month on my other number?
