Samsung Galaxy Note 2

hi,

i have a queation about S Planner. i open the app and make my own notes on the calendar with my s pen and then after clicking the pen on top right corner it stays but once i close the app or even look at the s planner widget its gone. is there a way to keep my notes visable. hope i explained myself well enough

Does it not have a widget function that can pin your notes to the desktop?

Shouldn't the top bar of Odin turn yellow, or something like that, once the .tar file has been added?

I don't want to start something, and then find out I have made a very expensive paperweight.

In 1.85 it turns yellow when it detects a connection to your phone. Not sure of the color on the new version.

You can't however break anything. If connected it will flash. If not, well no phone to break :D

.... and there I was worrying my @rse off.....
Took the plunge, and pressed start after setting everything up.
The update took about 1 minute, the phone rebooted, and I now have a phone rooted with an official Sammy ROM.

Thanks Mike. :D
I owe you big-time for the help.

Anytime dude. Enjoy ;)

I am looking at getting the SIII vehicle dock for my Note2.
Had a look at one at the Samung Store, and the Note2 fits perfectly.

I can relegate my old Garmin 760 to my son. :)

Still struggling with finding a case for the phone. :(.
But other than that its awesome. I have no idea how i lived using phones with such small screens :D. I can finally play games and browse the internet without feeling like i should be using a magnifying glass :D.

I gave my S2 to my son, and he loves it.
He has a BB9800 Torch, and has the S2 in hand most of the time with the BB just lying on his desk.

The S2 does feel tiny compared to th Note2. :)

the guys that ordered from FNB, how long did you guys wait?
its been two weeks now, and FNB cant even tell me what the progress is.
they just say you have to wait.

I have managed to get a small scratch on my glass. Problem is I cannot recall a situation that could have caused this. Phone is always in my pocket on its own or in plain sight. It took a fall or two but low height onto carpet.

It's possible that it happened while someone else was playing with the phone.
I can just about feel it when running my fingernail across the screen.

It's not very noticeable, only when light catches the phone at a certain angle. Ofcourse now that I know it's there I notice it all the time.

I wouldn't say I'm overly careful with my phones but take care. My Desire HD took a fair bit of abuse(falls into hard surface) but no scratches on the screen just fine scratches of paint of the aluminum casing on point of impact.

In addition to that I notice a small gap on some areas on the front of the phone where the silver surround meets the glass. It's a very tiny gap but big enough to gather some dust. This was like this since I got the phone. Does anyone else notice this on their devices?

I have noticed that as well.
It is almost as if the glass is slightly too small for the frame it is mounted in.

We did the online application, and 2 days later the order was processed by FNB.
There was a bit of a wait for the couriers, but once that was sorted the device was delivered the next day.

Try and contact FNB Direct, and give them your ID number. They should be able to trace the order for you.
You could also contact the the couriers directly.
I gave the numbers of FNB Direct and the couriers in an earlier post.

So those of you who had been using the phone a while now, how do you enjoy it? I love mine.

I have a small bug though. In the Youtube app, the rotation sometimes acts up. When switching between the landscape and portrait positions of the phone it switches the wrong way round. Anyone experienced this?

Loving it so far.
Just have a problem with the battery drain, caused by "gpsd". Reading up it seems i need to turn off the Samsung Phone tracking thing.
