Hi guys,

I really like what I'm seeing about this phablet, I currently have an iphone 4, and the 5 looks good, but I really want something that will allow me to make notes with a e-pen.

I'm due for an upgrade in Decemeber with MTN, do you guys think they will be stocking by then?

I really hope so. I'm also due for an upgrade in December (Vodacom) and planning to get this phone.

Should be out by then. I've got the current Note. Upgraded to ICS, but the phone has been a joy since i got it, and is now even better with the updated firmware. I will definitely look at getting the new one at some point. I recommend it.

Note is the best. Serious. First phone ever that I've been using for many months and still wouldn't swap out for any other phone coming on the market now. This is a first for me, ever. I'm already due for an upgrade but want nothing else ... so I'll wait. I do hear rumours though of HTC bringing out a rival to the Note 2. Thát might win me over.

So, have decided on the Note 2 for a while now but since no official release date for SA has popped up yet and my contract is now due for an upgrade the battle in my head is raging...

Should I just take the original Note now which is a great phone too and with JB coming sometime it can only get better (and its cheaper) or will I be REALLY sorry for jumping the gun..? (just bear in mind I'm stuck with a BB8520...going insane here:wtf:)

How much difference will there be between the two if both have JB?

I would wait for the Note 2,it should be out by November at the latest, we're usually one of the first markets to get Samsung phones. Note 1 is great, but the price hasn't come down in almost a year, it's safe to say the Note 2 will cost as much as the Note 1 does right now.

I hope it won't take too long, was hoping it would get here before end October (exams starts then and I'm gonna need all the focus I can get...not a new phone to distract me:crying:) but I guess it's definately going to be worth the wait

The Note 1, when the price comes down on/near release of the Note 2, will be a great acquisition worth every penny. There is just not enough new in the Note 2 to convince me to jump from the 1 to the 2.

My upgrade is leaning towards the Nokia 920.

Cant wait for the note 2, due for upgrade now but will wait, just getting impatient cause all info still in the dark. and service providers must wake up, how come a product gets launched (note 10.1) and service providers will only, maybe have it a month or more after the official launch in sa? So hopefully note 2 will be here early november, hoping for october, but who am i kidding?:confused: :D

Heard today from Samsung rep that Note 2 will officially launch in SA on 8 Oct and be in stores about a week later.

OK, so according to the interwebs as of yesterday it is official that the Note 2 is coming out next week in several countries.

Any provider here have any news on it, can we pre order somewhere? Pricing? anything???
