Samsung Galaxy Note 2

I just got a notification now that said that there is a new firmware update on my Note 2. Is this the way the OTA happens?

Did anyone else also get an update?
 
Anyone know if this update contains the Exynos Abuse fix?, also when will we get the update to fix the lock screen bug?
Can anyone with an MTN note 2 post if the Exynos Abuse still works on this 4.1.2 and what your build is
 
Anyone noticed a decreased battery life after 4.1.2 update? I used to get almost 48 hours from full charge, I am now only 16 hours and already the 15% with a battery low warning. Plenty of overseas users complaining.

I have been running 4.1.2 for months, can't really see any difference in battery usage.

If you've been running 4.1.2 for months, it's certainly not a stock ROM. From my reading, Samsung's 4.1.2 ROMs are battery hogs.

Exactly, that's why I root my phone. Better overall performance, and my choice of Roms, kernels and radios. ;) As for not running a stock rom, if by that you mean a rooted stock Samsung rom? Yes that's what I use.

Anyone can however load any stock rom on their phone if they want to, no need to wait for updates.

I actually dont notice any difference in the battery consumption, I did however notice that it chargers faster via the car charger

You might have had something running in the background and that is why your battery ran down so fast
 
I saw somewhere that June is the target, that of course is internationally locally, who knows.
Of course remember that the S4 runs 4.2.2

Sorry LemonScrub, I cant help you there, I dont even know what the exynos exploit is.... Im with vodacom I never had a problem with my note 2 since I got it... Why dont you search the net
 
Thanks, i have looked online, but each region has a different build number, and i am trying to find out if our region contains the fix

I'll be getting a Note 2 LTE on Wednesday.

Anyone here using one on Android 4.2.2? If so, how is the performance and battery life?
