Because, I can swap it for the iPhone 5 that has been gathering dust in my cupboard
1080p AMOLED- not as great as expected. At least the Note 2 has a variation of the Plus display...

I'm running CarbonROM 1.6, which is AOSP Android 4.2.2 . Have been for about 2 weeks.
I love it!
Phone is noticeably even faster and smoother. Not missing any Samsung specific features.

Warning for any of you who got the Straightup 100 special from CellC.
Now that their "MyAccount" page is back up I registered and checked my usage, it seems that have only allocated me the standard 100MB + the bolt on 50MB and not the additional 300MB that was offered in the special.
I had to talk to their tech support :erm: to resolve it. He acknowledged that it was incorrect and that it would be corrected but I don't know if this was a one off or a system problem.
Worth checking out if you took up this offer.

Same here, have the LTE version, trying to figure out what has been updated... So far my firmware is still pointing @ 4.1.2, but looks like the kernel version has changed?? Hmmm, any security vulnerabilities that we should know about?

Yeah. Also got the LTE version. All that I can see for now is the play store. It has changed quite a bit.

For drawing I would recommend Sketchbook Mobile (paid version, but free version is just as good)

For Note taking you could try Bamboo Paper, but there are many other good apps available. Best try some out to see which one works for you.

I have an acquintance selling his Note 2 for R2000, but it has a cracked (badly) screen.
The S-Pen and Touch functionalities are still fine though.
My question is, how much would a Note 2 digitizer set me back?
