Samsung Galaxy Note 2

I've been playing with the Nexus 4 for the last 2 weeks (fantastic thing - but small coming from a Note). Last night I purchased a Note 2 for my brother, its nexus 4 good wrt speed and performance, but its all Note yumminess... So Contract is up in April for me... Note 2 ftw! Wifey will get hers at the end of Jan .. I'm gonna be green :(

So it took 4 hrs to charge your phone up by 50% while using your GPS. I use my GSP a lot and I bought a normal car charger that fits into the android and blackberry phones and it take about 75 minutes / 1.5 hrs to charge full while still using my phones GPS

So you use your galaxy note S2 on full brightness with car nav running and it only takes an hour and a half to full charge your phone while doing that? :rolleyes: Please do share your amazing car charger with us so we can spread the news to the other people having problems charging their Notes while using car nav.

Edit: I see you don't even have your note yet. Let's talk again when you've actually used it ;) :D

I use a standard 2A USB adaptor in the cigarette socket. Full brightness and phone charges fast while navigating

Yeah it's the same. As far as I know the max that can be delivered though is still only 1A despite what the chargers say IIRC.

Correct. I got dual USB 2A so I can have full steam on a second device .
Point being that my phone charges quick while in use.
 
I'll be honest with you this is a mega phone but in ways I don't feel entirely at home with it, strangely I miss my two year old HTC Desire. Am I missing something with this Note 2?

I don't miss my four year old HTC Desire at all, maybe you're just missing the HTC part that's layered on top of Android.
 
In case you missed it, if you fire up video hub app, you should have a R200 voucher to spend by 30 Dec...

Thanks for the heads up...would not have seen that as I never open the hub apps. Now, the question is how do I watch on my TV? Got a smart TV but no wifi dongle so...hmmm...

what is the app called in the advert where they manipulate the guys fave into photos so easily?

It's the stock gallery app. You trace around the face with the s-pen, save it to your scrap book. From there you can paste it into any photo.

Edit: I should probably add that you use the S Note app to combine multiple images like in the add.

The gallery app on my N2 is almost unusable. Been like this since I got the first N2 - just never brought it up.

When I am using it, it hangs a lot and is very slow.

Anyone else experience this?

On my S2, it's brilliant and great to use. Even though it's the Samsung Jelly Bean test ROM for S2, it allowed me to download Photo Editor from Samsung app store.

Maybe your SD card that's stuffed?
