Samsung Galaxy Note 3 now available from FNB

I upgraded with Vodacom and they're charging me R250 for the handset. I'm doing it on the Smart S package, which is R450 a month, so obviously that's more expensive, but you're not going to find a similar package for R200 a month with that much talk time/data to compensate if you get the FNB deal.

On Cell C prepaid: 75 minutes with equals roughly R75 and 200MB will be equal to R30. Total cost R105. I choose to ignore SMSs because they provide no real value nowadays.

I think it's pricey if you consider they offered the note 2 for R285.

R365 for the handset only? R8760 total cost, and you pay over 24 months; I think that is reasonable, no?

Perhaps we expect too much, similar to the discounts they have on the iDevices.

Well, if you consider Voda's offer, it's R250 per month for the handset..

Guess just depends if you don't need any airtime & the small amount if data there

Are FNB only offering the N9000 and not the N9005? Called the call centre but they tell me the only model they have is the N900. The specs on the website must also be wrong; if it's the N9000 it only comes with a 9MP rear camera.

Yes, this is all well and good, them offering the handset at discounted rates. Until you want to settle the phone early, then they shaft you. I got me a Note 1 in June last year, and a good R295 per month for the 24months. I inquired to settle early a few months ago, they they telling me they priced the handset at 9k at the time of sale, so I had to pay nearly 6k a few months ago... BS if you ask me, as they will most probably cost the Note 3 at around 11 or 12k at the time you buy the phone from them...
