Samsung Galaxy S3 initial charge

I recently received my new Galaxy S3.

A google search regarding the initial charge yields mixed results.

Which of the following is the best option:

- Leave off and charge until full then use
- Leave off and charge for 14 hours
- Immediately start using until flat and then charge
- Other
I really want to give this battery the best life possible, please advise!

Got the phone,switched it on without charge and used it the whole day. Got home charged like normal and no problem.
Very happy as im a heavy user and will last more than 1 day easy.

It apparently doesn't matter how you charge it the first time. The S3's battery isn't like the old cellphone batteries that required special care for first time charging.

Doesn't matter. Do whatever you like. I always switch on, and start using immediately. Then charge once battery is dead or low.

Using your phone till it's dead and then fully charging will help ensure your battery indicator is correct (but that shouldn't be a concern with a new phone), everything I've read has convinced me it makes absolutely no difference when you charge your phone or how often (whether it's brand new or a year old).

Don't let your phone go completely dead. Just charge it when ever you want.
