Samsung Galaxy S4

Wow, the S 3 isnt even a year old (literally) and now they release the S IV?

I bet they are going to release new phones monthly like Nvidia/AMD's graphics cards....WE CANT KEEP UP!!!

When exactly would you like them to release a new flagship? Apple, HTC, Nokia, Motorola, Sony etc. all update their best products annually, so why should Samsung be any different?

They aren't releasing the phone on Thursday, they're announcing it. It will probably launch around the same time the S3 did, ie. ahead of the annual iPhone update.
 
I love my S2, and I am anticipating the launch of the S4 on Thursday - but I can't help but think that I will most likely end up getting an Xperia Z or HTC One. I love the idea of the dual front facing speakers on the One.

If I needed a new phone I would only consider the S4. I despise virtual navigation buttons on Android, I prefer TouchWiz over Sense and the others, and it looks like the S4 is a dual sim handset, which could come in extremely handy for data and roaming purposes.

I doubt the dual- sim model would make it to SA.

It is possible, there are some similarities between the two... But also differences, like the placement of the rear speaker - next to the camera on the Grand, but lower left corner in the leaked video. Also the front ear piece is clearly visible on the Grand, but not in the video.

Edit: The sim holders are also in different positions.

You know, I'm now really at a cross roads... On the one hand, I'm not that interested in phone size anymore, as a current Galaxy Note 1 owner, the hype of owning such a big phone really does wear off after a while... Many times I've considered switching to an S3 as there are some practical limitations to a 5.3" phone... So really, the S4 as well as the HTC One looks very appealing to me, but depending on the specs and features of the S4, I might be getting that...

Also, reports saying the Note 3 will sport a 5.9" screen, that is now way to big for general use. I'm already seeing many limitations to the 5.3", what still about a 5.9".... So let's see what this new Galaxy is all about, I'm sure it will have many features that will make it a must have...
 
Chinese versions usually have dual SIM. So it's unlikely.

So far I'm also disappointed with what's rumoured, physical keys, plastic, rounded design, significant bezel, no significant battery capacity jump. Glad I'm in the next upgrade cycle.

One still tentatively 2013 king. Xperia Z 2nd.

Agree with the above.

My optimistic nature seems to believe samsung will surprise us - lets hope so.

You mean the One, not One X? One X is the older version...

By physical keys you mean an actual home button and capacitive menu and back buttons? Dude that's the only thing keeping me on Android! The virtual navigation buttons are the dumbest things I've ever seen in my life. It takes valuable screen real estate away when there's enough space in the lower bezel to support buttons. Madness...

Why don't you wait for the phone to be launched and specs confirmed before you make up your mind on speculation.
