Samsung Galaxy S5

Why do Apple have a separate hardware for the iPhone 5 fingerprint scanner if you can just use the touch screen like the S5?

Private mode with finger print recognition secures private pictures etc. If the phone is stolen the images and data is useless if encrypted.

Sony Xperia Z2 has a 3200 mAh battery, with Sony's excellent stamina software, 20.7 MP camera, IPS LED....hell, even FM radio with RDS. :p

Samsung has been trumped by Sony.

Make no mistake the water resistance is a big thing IMHO...other than that not particularly impressed.

You cant. You looked wrong. There is a hardware reader on the home button... not on the screen...

Not as mind blowing as some would have hoped, which I think would be tough in the modern age anyway, but I like some things.

I love the "water resistant" aspect. And the Galaxy Gear Fit looks interesting. Suits my lifestyle.

Battery at 2800mAh is bigger than the S3 at 2100 and the S4 at 2600. Not as big as the Note 3 at 3200 but a smaller screen so probably enough, let's wait for reviews.

0.3sec autofocus time of the camera is very appealing as well as the increased megapixels and claims of better sensor! Hope the snapping of action shots is as unblurred as he appears to claim. That is my pet hate with cell cameras. I heard no mention of image stabilisation?

I rarely use the video camera and 1080p is more than enough for my needs so not disappointed at no 2160p. The latter needs too much storage capacity anyway.

Higher def screen would have been battery hungry. Human eye can hardly differentiate at these levels anyway.

The keyword is fitness for some reason. The CEO said SAMSUNG consumers are not looking for the best and MOST feature packed phones. They want human phones built for life... I think it is great. :D

It is still a powerful device. All the specs have been upped from the S4...

Built in heart rate monitor... As I said. Fitness is the key to this device...

A heart rate monitor really needs to be attached to the body. See less use for it being on your phone. If you need it you get the Gear Fit.
