Samsung Galaxy S5

Built in heart rate monitor... As I said. Fitness is the key to this device...
You can use the normal camera on other phones as well to read your heart rate so IMO fintess is not key to the device

Like the S4, the built quality looks poor. The plastics look flimsy - cheap and nasty stuff. When it comes to making phones Samsung is the worst right now. I long for the days of the Galaxy S2

The keyword is fitness for some reason. The CEO said SAMSUNG consumers are not looking for the best and MOST feature packed phones. They want human phones built for life... I think it is great. :D

It is still a powerful device. All the specs have been upped from the S4...

Then put in a proper bigger battery.

Seriously....who wants to exercise with a 5.2" phone in your pocket?

And to take an expensive phone with you to the gym, is asking for trouble.

2014 looks like a poor year for mobile phone innovation so far. Been checking out the competitors video reviews too and there is seriously nothing exciting about any of them.

I have to disagree. I own an S4 and it spent some time in the bath. Easy thing to happen with a toddler in the house. Survived! Drop test with a rubber cover. Not a scratch! Fine phone! Only issue was faulty battery that was replaced at no cost. :)

I do. I MTB with my phone all the time. That's what makes the water and dust resistance even more appealing.

I can live with the features but the thing looks hideous and more Samsung plastic fantastic. No thanks!!

Ok. So little disappointing. But let's think about, what could they really have done to blow your sox off?

Build quality? Bigger battery? Better screen? What else? Something that plays with your balls while your phone is in your pocket?

Better looking would be a good start. Where is the metal version?

A metal design without that hideous back cover would have been a good start.

It just looks cheap & nasty.
