Isnt there a Galaxy S5 Google Play edition ROM?
Check Telkom Mobile.Any good deals out there on the S5 now? I'm due for an upgrade. :-D
Yip my mom has it on her s5 exonys, mtn. I also read it's a network faultJust out of curiosity, any S5 users experienced a battery draining wakelock called GPSD? Its a network side fault that can affects some Androids, I've had it in all my Samsungs at some point (S2, S3 and S4) on Vodacom, all were Exynos variants though, I've now got a Snapdragon Note 4, and I know that the S5 in SA is also mostly Snapdragon, so I'm trying to work out if that issue affects specific variants or what.
Those who've had GPSD, what variant S5 do you have? Snapdragon or Exynos?
Depends on the charger, as well as the cable. But mostly the charger. Plugging in a USB 3 cable into an old 500mA charger won't make a difference. I believe the Note 3 had a 2A charger.Usb3 question... I thought usb3 supported a higher charging current? Plugged one in yesterday and only got 450mA...

Powered by what?Plugged into a powered usb3 hub...
Could be, but I am using an exonys on telkom and such issueHmmm....
I get the feeling this is mainly an Exynos issue, maybe with the network and the modem used in Exynos. Just an assumptlon though, but I believe I'm seeing a trend.
I haven't really read of this issue on Htc's, Sony's or Snapdragon Samsungs. I maybe wrong though.
Powered by what?
Most hubs use a 500mA supply as far as I know. I'm not sure what the USB3 spec is, but 500mA is the limit for USB2. The 1 and 2 Amp chargers only deliver the full current when signalled by the phone, otherwise they default to half A again.
