Sorry distracted. Go to sammobile and download the right kit kat version, SA vodacom or UK will work.

I'm still busy downloading it. It should be done in about 4 hours (if my internet doesn't cut out and cancel the download). I had actually used my phone to download the firmware for Lollipop, so it was a lot faster. Now my phone is out of commission =/.

Looks tripped to me. Not the end of the world though. It would have been worse if you bricked your device.

Did you get it to work again?

Nah not yet. My line keeps dropping at random, so I only manage to download about 400 megs out of 1.4 GB =/. I wish there was a torrent or something for it.

Google... My brother in law uses some sort of download manager. Dunno what it is.
 
I got it working again now. I had yo use my brother's S5 with my sim and my data :(. But I'm just glad it's working now.
 
Ok. So here's the thing.

Have been running lollipop nicely for a few days. However, has someone figured out how the priority mode works? When i switch it to priority, whatsapp messages still makes a sound, and your alarm still goes off. In block mode everything is silent including the alarm, which will assist nicely to get me in trouble at work.

All i want is to be able to have no sounds come through during the night, (don't want to wake up the baby), but still have the alarm sound in the morning.

Any ideas?

Just put it in Flight Mode.

That is weird. Alarms are supposed to ALWAYS be priority interruptions. Well... That is how it works on mmy Nexus. Maybe Samsung just messed this up. Works fine here
