Downloaded the firmware from here http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G900F/, SamMobile has the official Samsung builds, just search for a G900FXXU1ANG2 build of the v5s.

Made a backup on Kies3 and used the latest ODIN v3.?? to flash.

To my surprise, my apps and data was still on the device after the upgrade.

Lol yeah they don't get deleted unless you do a factory reset after..so if your device is laggy after the update you'll need to do a reset..

I know its off topic, but currently at samsung canal walk, aanndd fighting here for adh warranty... manager decided to repair the phone after throwing a hissy fit. And warned me if i do go for another samsung with adh, if its rooted i will loose the phone warranty and adh.
