I don't understand what a rooted phone has to do with a broken screen
 
Not sure if anybody has answered this before but is there any way to revert the lollipop banner style notifications back to the KitKat variant?

Not easily. I went back to KitKat because I couldn't turn it off.

You'll probably need to root it or something.

Thanks, its a real pain in the butt and such a stupid design they've forced on people.
 
Which was my arguement aswell, they then brought me the T&C of the samsung device, i said i dont want to read that bring me the T&C of adh, that when the manger approved my repair

I just called them and they sent a courier to my house with a loan phone and collected the damaged one. Once repaired they brought it back to me, rooted and custom rom
 
I've downloaded the official Lollipop update on my S5 (the one from Ireland) on Sam Mobile and my phone haven't been better. I love the user interface. Don't think it's necessary for me to try get the Vodacom version if it's released soon?

Not yet. Maybe it's too soon after the launch of the S6. Telkom mobile have S5 for R349 On their smart plan 50 - 50 minutes and 500MB data. Also the Samsung A5 at R299.
 
Downloading an official rom won't void your warranty.

Is it normal to have the application "Knox DAR" with a a lion logo under the all tab in the application manager?
