I'll hopefully be getting this package....

Just did an online conversion (speaker selling for Singapore$268) and it shows as R2,268... with a 16GB MicroSD card valued at around R250 I am fairly happy with me deal.

That in my opinion is much better worded promotion in terms of clarity , at least they are very clear and say for the first 1000 customers unlike Vodacom's one .
What i do not understand though is why Vodacom offer different deals to New lines than they do to a renewal in the first place . Surely you would want to reward your customers signing a renewal rather than deliberately offer the good deals to only New Contracts and drive your existing customers to the competition . Just makes no sense to me .

Oh yes, and I got that as an upgrade.... I phoned earlier in the week and they could not help me yet but promised to call me today. The lady phoned back this morning and took my order. She pointed out that the call centre was taking orders as she spoke and the first 1000 would get the speaker.
 
Was looking at the specs on GSM Arena - this phone doesn't come with a radio. WTF?!?

Do people actually use the radio on phones?

Last time I used a radio on my phone was back when I had a Nokia talk radio (and the only reason for that was because it did not need the earphones plugged in to work).

Yip, it was for this reason that a friend of mine chose not to get a Galaxy. He went for a Sony. For me personally this is a non-issue as I found that the reality is I very rarely have my headphones with me to use as an antenna anyway so I never used the feature.

The only time I have ever used it was at a test match where I listened to commentary while watching live.
