something is definitely wrong, what app can I use to check?
The phone is connected to WiFi most of the time (only when i'm driving it's not)
Screen brightness is set to auto
Don't know what else could be causing it
Maybe because i leave my phone charging overnight everyday? probably damaged the battery?

Possibly, but just switch off, pull the battery and put back in after a couple of minutes. Should be fine if the battery is not damaged

that's not it.
if you can't find the problem do a factory reset, and start from scratch. At the start only install essential apps, and then monitor daily as you put all the other apps back.

Yes and in three months he will have all his apps back ...
Perhaps try clearing cache and data before doing the factory reset.

For how long have you had your S5 now?
Also, how long did you play that game that's showing in your apps? Games drain a battery very fast.
I upgraded from LolliWiz to KitKat last night, so mine is a brand new clean install.

Also, check that your Settings > Location Services is on Power Saving instead of High Accuracy, otherwise your GPS is on the whole time.
That can also chow a battery.

I only play that game for like 5 minutes every 5 or so hours
Location services are turned off.
Maybe this weekend i'll do a fresh install

I'm back on 4.4.2 and happy as a pig in mud.
Here's my reasons for moving back to KitKat :
1. When you press the multitasking hardware button, there's a delay on the Lolliwiz BTU ROM before recent apps show - it irritated the crap out of me. KitKat multitasking = always instant.
2. Google has confirmed a memory leak in Lollipop 5.0, which should be fixed with 5.0.2, or 5.1 - and it shows. Phones uses 200MB RAM more on average, not sure if it's the ART runtime that needs more.
3. The camera focus is all over the place and it doesn't show you a green circle when it's focused anymore. Just plain annoying.
4. Lollipop uses 800MB more space on your device storage, which might upset owners with only 16GB on board storage.
5. The phone gets hot at the back when you use the camera for a minute. WTF?
6. Too many white menus! Why oh why Google?
7. Battery life doesn't seem much different from Kitkat.

I agree 100%.
Currently still on LolliWiz BTU, but seriously thinking of going back. I just such a process to get everything back the way it was.

Yup, but LolliWiz frustrated me enough to do it.
Luckily all my contacts are in my Google account, so as soon as I login everything is back. And I have a 64GB Kingston SD card, to backup my WhatsApp conversations. Everything else, on my SD card.
Just Factory Reset, install KitKat again and do a cache wipe. Done.
It's so worth it, I am happy with my S5 again.
*Some of the crazy people on XDA now want to sell their S5s because of LolliWiz - their phones are "slow" now.

Hahaha....I can just imagine!
The nice thing is that you get the new builds instantly, not like Samsung who must first go and test LolliWiz worldwide.
But....I really like TouchWiz, and actually think pure Android is a bit bland.
I want more.
