That is some ridiculously good screen time. Wow.

Pre-update. Battery life has been inconsistent. Some days great some days Meh. But generally makes it through a 7 to 7 day. Hope the update gets me home on 50+ more often than not.

Please resize your images, please. :)

Did the 657Mb OTA software update to Lollipop 5.1.1, and apart from being able to organise the Apps alphabetically, I don't see much of a difference.
Anyone know what exactly was changed?

Exposure control in camera is a biggie for me. Other than that, it has better battery and it's smoother.

Full changelog - http://www.sammobile.com/2015/07/16/android-5-1-1-for-the-galaxy-s6-and-galaxy-s6-edge-whats-new/

With Android 5.1.1, the camera on the S6 gains a couple of functions that weren’t there before. First, there’s a manual exposure control that now allows you change the exposure directly on the viewfinder by dragging your finger up and down on the screen. It’s a feature that is inspired by the iPhone, and it can sometimes work wonders when you’re targeting a subject with a lot of light in the background or in dim lighting conditions.

Awesome

Another one for me was being able to remove the S Finder and Quick Connect toggles and free up valuable real estate space in the notification menu.

I still have the problem where a notification sounds every minute with nothing showing in the notification bar. I've resorted to disabling the notification sound altogether. Not sure how to fix this & I've gone through all my notification settings. :(

Have you tried disabling the notification reminder in accessibility?

Shot, thanks. :)

Is that a new menu item for 5.1.1? I never had the problem before the upgrade.

Nope, that was there before, I had that very same issue you were having. Sad to hear its still a problem.

i am on vodacom and everytime i check for a software update, i get told the latest updates have already been installed, but I am running verson 5.0.2. any idea how I can force an update?

Updated to 5.1.1 an hour ago. Have heard some user's battery worsened post update, so I'm gonna try do a benchmark for myself. I'm gonna drain battery fully in the next couple of hours, then recharge with quick charger. Thereafter I'll restart the phone and leave idle to see what my overnight loss is. Pre-update; on good performance days, battery lost approx 0.5% per hour overnight, on meh days 1% an hour. Let's see what 5.1.1 holds.

Yup. The battery life is worse now...

No ways, it is without doubt significantly better for me!

Normally my phone used to die every day and I'd be putting it onto Ultra Power Saving just to retain some functionality.

Since the update I haven't heard the low battery chime once :)

PS: For what if counts I'm using the vanilla South African version linked to a few posts back.

So far par for the course. Idle battery loss seems marginally improved

Just flashed the latest XEU (G925FXXU2COH2) rom from Sammobile. You now have an App Edge as well, where you can quickly access your favorite apps by swiping from the edge, as you used to with peoples edge. Maybe we can now actually start using the edge...
