Samsung Galaxy S6

Just flashed the latest XEU (G925FXXU2COH2) rom from Sammobile. You now have an App Edge as well, where you can quickly access your favorite apps by swiping from the edge, as you used to with peoples edge. Maybe we can now actually start using the edge...

I also flagged COH2 yesterday. How do you access the App Edge?

Admittedly in an area with awful signal.

Day one conclusion. No improvement in battery life.

Anybody else having an issue that the screen goes blank after dialing a number?

Mine would go blank and stay blank even if I don't have the phone close to my ear or anything, only way to get the screen to show anything is to press Home button.

This only started happening after the update.

I'm on MTN and got the OTA update

I seem to have a problem with my back button in Tapatalk & Facebook.

In Facebook, after reading a link, selecting back to the tread, it takes be right out to the beginning of the thread, not back to the link I selected initially.

After viewing a photo in a Tapatalk thread, selecting back, also takes me right out of the thread.

This started after upgrading to 5.1.1.

Hey there everyone! I've also been having issues with my battery life after the 5.1.1 update. I have the S6 (G920) and I've noticed that after a bit of playing around you can get the battery to last a long while. Some of the tips I can share are to use a solid black homescreen, use a dark / black theme from the theme store, use the greyscale setting (accessibility options -> vision), keep standard power-saving on all the time and just follow the standard tips and tricks (reduce back-light time, etc.) Hope that this helps. :D

So basically cripple your phone then? good plan

Yeah somewhat. Hey you can set the 3-click home button option to flip between colour and greyscale. Works for me and still performs well. :D I can still play x265 1080p and 4K videos without lag / pixelation. Plus the battery life is extended drastically. ;)

I got my S6 flat on Wednesday, sim swap only took effect late Thursday so today was the first day I got to use it. The phone is great, but I'm really worried about the battery. Today it barely made it past 9 hours with just maybe 2.5 hour screen on time. I do get a lot of whatsapp messages but surely that can't be right? I used to get 16 hours with nearly 4 hours screen on time with my S4. What are the guys on here doing to get 4+ hour screen on times and double digit off charger hours?

To be fair I haven't been able to go to the latest update yet because Telkom hasn't put my dsl line in but honestly this just doesn't see right to me....

So I shouldn't be too worried until I get the upgrade to 5.1.1? Last night I checked the battery use while I was asleep. Basically used 18% during 10 hours which I guess is pretty good for standby with 3G on. Do not disturb was enabled but if I understand correctly it just mutes the notifications, they still come in.

Guess I'll do the update when I can, and hopefully it'll improve a bit. I knew the battery is a week spot going in but barely 10 hours seemed bad.

No 18% standby loss is terrible. You should only lose around 2-5% overnight with LTE/3G and WiFi on.

Something is chowing your battery. Rouge app maybe?

I guess it could be. The highest battery user always seems to be Google Services when I check the usage statistics. So in 8 hours on standby it should lose only 2 to 5%? Then something is definitely up here.

I also loose around 11% on standby with WiFi on and mobile data off
