The contract you signed was a very good deal if I recall R299 included 3 gb of data for new customers.. prepaid is the only way to go - purchase all my phones outright, don't want to dispute with the operator about OOB sharks or high call rates. Very good deals on Samsung S5(clearing out stock) regret buying though for R4000 last year grey import t.

I also agree with OP. It's standard packing including wireless charger to encourage people to buy the phone without the extra goodies doubt there wouldn't be such a high demand. Telkom Mobile store down the road received 50 units all gone over the weekend .

Going to be distracted for a while.

Yip - S5 Blue (to be different) is now R7000 at Takealot (bargain) and it still has premium ADH which appeals to me as I have a very active day job which is high risk for my phones (one once dropped out of my shirt pocket and went 3 stories down from the Mercedes Benze C Claas paintshop line).

S5 will drop further as this year goes on...

Might go to Durban again on Wednesday and try get the s6 there, hope they still got stock.
 
It's a bit disappointing, but I guess 1 screen for the first 12 months is still better than competitors.
 
Wording on the back of the mtn yellow trader suggests either 1 screen or 1 back glass panel replacement.

I have it direct from Samsung that the one ADH covers the simultaneous replacement of both front and back glass, even if you only break one.

I speculate this is because I read online that it's nearly impossible to remove the glass without breaking it - this way Samsung covers themselves against accidental damage during repair. It also explains why ADH cover has halved.

NB NB: I was told you have to install the Samsung ADH Premium app from the Play Store to register your phone for the ADH cover. I did this, received confirmation and even e-mailed the local help address to confirm. Samsung confirmed within minutes the registration had been received successfully. DO THIS NOW, you have been warned.

I like my Black one :) In 90% of light it is a classy shimmery navy blue.

How do I get to the smart switch app? After the Telkom lady activated the sim, the shortcut was gone from the home screen.

It's right there in the Google Play Store, just search for it. There's also a desktop app.

Well, maybe this has been fixed by that firmware update? Try installing that first.

Got 14 hours battery life today already, with three hours left! Admittedly, I haven't used the phone much, but that is still decent!
