Samsung Galaxy S6

I just got my s6 edge black at cellucity and it was scratches badly and then I was given a new one and it was guess what. .... scratched too! But not as bad. So angry coz now they have too order new stock and I have to wait

Wow, first time I've heard of that in SA. I heard it was a concern internationally.

Go for the S6 flat version - I did and it allows me to appreciate the awesome S6 screen to the max.
 
It looked promising because I had not heard from anyone on this forum about it. So I thought south africa was exempt.... Both phones were made in UK if that helps. On a positive, the screen of the edge is just wow!!! It like adds depth to the screen and it appears 3d like!

That's cool, sounds like you should stick with it then. It definitely is a personal preference, so I don't think anybody should pick one before playing with a demo in-store.
 
Has anyone else been getting bad reception, the signal at my house is crap at best but with this phone it is unusable.

With me it's the opposite, signal is much better. Then again, I moved from MTN to Vodacom at the same time, so I can't tell.

The only fly in the ointment was the worst-in-class signal reception. I never saw more than one bar at home, which I’ve never encountered before on any device. Even low cost phones typically give me three. Outdoors it was the same story. At various spots near Hampstead Tube station, the Galaxy S6 had dropped back to 3G, while an iPhone 6 (also on EE) registered one to three bars of 4G. This was on EE’s network, and I had two other EE SIMs running at the same time showing three bars – so it wasn’t the network.

The ear speaker to the top of the phone sounds good, so we had no problem making and receiving calls, although the reception isn't the strongest around. We found that the SGS6 didn't give us a connection as strong as some rivals when out and about and sometimes drags its heels about reconnecting when you emerge from a dead spot.

I have zero problems when the signal is strong, the sound clarity is the best of any phone I had. It is only when the signal is crappy that the problems start.

I have mentioned it before. The edge gives that ellusive edge to edge illusion... Farking cool stuff if I do say so for probably the third time :D
 
As soon as I go to the GSM option my signal is perfect. Hmm let me see what the options are.
 
I had to turn LTE 4G off and switch to HSDPA, which still isn't fantastic signal, but good enough for calls.
 
Ja, that is the problem. It seems if the LTE connection is crappy then the call connection is too. I will disable LTE here at home, I have Wi Fi here.
