Wouldn't hold my breath too much...SA are not the 1st wave on updates that roll out. Also our mobile network folks would want to add their bloatware to the devices too, so they need to "Play" with the OS updated. Might get it in time for the S10 launch

Best it to go visit XDA and manually update if you want Oreo. Done mine before they stopped the roll out. Battery life went backwards.. Will update to the "new" roll-out. Hopefully that will resolve the battery drain issue as well.

I installed my Oreo update manually. If I dont get the revised firmware via the update push, I will download and manually install

Is your phone originally from Telkom Mobile or are you just using it with a Telkom Mobile SIM card?

My wife and I both updated our S8+ to 8.0 a couple of months ago and honestly this is the most frustrating android experience I have ever had. The phone locks up continuously. Freezes for up to 30 seconds while answering a call, changing apps, unlocking.

I just hope that the new FW sorts all this crap out.

This will be the firmware you're on, their isn't a new update coming, check the original date on the post.

If you're having issues you should factory reset and if you manually flashed the firmware you should flash a newer version.

You should definitely factory reset, those are some pretty big issues you're having, I'm using the OTA firmware from Vodacom on my S8 and it's been nothing but a good experience.

Is your phone originally from Telkom Mobile or are you just using it with a Telkom Mobile SIM card?

not sure if its from Telkom Mobile. Bought it second hand. I'm using a telkom mobile sim.
