Hi Guys

Does anybody have the Galaxy Tab P6200?

Ive taken this tablet just for basic browsing, emails and so on. What i would like to know, has anybody upgraded to ICS? I know the new P3100 comes with ICS

im not fussy with the fact, thats its only a 7" tablet, but it would be interesting to know if this tablet has received the ICS update

Regards

I last tried on Monday, Kies tells me that I am on the latest firmware. I have not been brave enough to go out of warranty, so I did not try the ICS firmware being rolled out in other countries. It is very tiresome, this device has a lot going for it. Very poor show from Samsung.

I have the P6200. Quite decent for my needs. Still on 3.2 as it still thinks that is the latest version.

Updated mine to 4.0.4 Open Austria from Samfirmware.com

Runs a lot better than when it had 3.2, pretty much no lag at all.

It's not a poor show from Samsung, blame the service providers for not releasing it timeously.

Nice to hear, that the P6200 is a good tablet. I was a bit worried, that i might have made a mistake. But then, at 130 rand a month, including 100 rand airtime, i doubt i did, as i think it is worth it.

R130/month, where? I am having a hard time keeping mine to myself.

I downloaded the ROM, had a few heart attacks "downloading, do not power off" getting 2 versions of ODIN to start connection and initialisation on the PC, Laptop and 5 different USB ports. 15+ attempts later it did its thing.

Now I am on 4.1.2 and it has been great.
