which is the better option the samsung 2 tb external hd at game for R999
or the similar priced ones over at www.zones.co.za ?

Game will probably honour a warranty far better then PC Zone

that is true. I just want to make sure that these drives arent prone to failure... ie the samsung ones from Game. Anyone have a 2tb Samsung external? Comments?

Drive failure is often down to luck. Samsung's don't have a reputation for being unreliable, no, so you should be fine.

got the samsung drive from Game, for R969 for the 2 tb, just said that pc zone has the samsung for 999 as well and they beat the price
