Samsung LCD TV - motion blur issues

Hi

I recently bought a Samsung 32" Series 3 LCD TV (LA32B350). It's hooked up to my SD PVR with a normal RCA cable.

The problem is the motion blur. When I'm watching a football match and the cameras are focused on a close up scene and then switch to a wide angle, the close up picture doesn't fade out quickly. Likewise, when the camera tracks the ball, motion blur is clearly visible.

I've switched all the digital add-ons (e.g. digital noise reduction, dynamic visuals, etc) off... still the problem persists.

Is it possible that the analogue feed from the SD PVR is causing this?

What cable should I be running to the LCD? The PVR doesn't have HDMI/DVI or component and the TV doesn't have SCART. S-video isn't an option either (neither has it). Bugger!

TIA.

This has been mentioned else where but is worth repeating.

The Sinotec 5 year warranty is only applicable to sets purchased from Makro. Any where else and it is 24 months..

I bought mine from PnP....

Did you buy this tv new or second hand

Does it do the same when you play a DVD through it?

If it does there could be something wrong with the Video Processor that handles screen refresh

If the DVD plays fine get better RCA cables for you DSTV decoder if that doesn't work try another decoder on it maybe lend one from a friend or something.

It might also be a good idea to try the SCART Plug on the back of the decoder

One thing to remember SD DSTV does not look that good on an LCD TV you should not get Motion blur but it will always be pixilated.

Hope this helps

I think it's more likely to be an issue with your DSTV signal or something around the input to the TV, than the TV itself. killkom's idea is best way to test - hook up something else to your tv, like a gaming console, pc, dvd player with proper cables (not ones chewed by your dog)... and check if you get the same issue

You bought a crap TV:p

Just kidding, I think your refresh rate and contrast ratio has that effect, same with mine but only when watching F1 sometimes... Its the broadcast quality from DSTV, but also your TV

Htz rate would also influence it, 100htz or better doesn't suffer from motion blur or so I am told..
