Samsung monitors

The size of the 2494 is nice, but ONLY for software use. Not for gaming or movies.

I got the 2333SW for around R2150, seen it go as low as R2000. The distributors apparently sell it for R1000 ex VAT....

1000 ex vat lol, get off the crack :p Maybe samsung sell it to places for 1000 ex vat hahaha :p

Been using the 2494 for a week now and am very impressed, all video is excellent and Crysis Warhead displays beautifully. It has an HDMI connector on the screen which really enhances all that is done this screen. This is the best desktop screen available at the moment. Price - R2195 ex Rectron R2595 ex Sahara.

1920x1080 == 16:9
The T260 for instance is 1920x1200 which is 16:10.

I'm assuming you can supply a copy of this quote right?

I will not believe there is a supplier selling this monitor for 1k ex vat until i see proof, what supplier is it i got accounts with many suppliers.

Just discovered the one c**p thing about the 2494, the screen controls are difficult to operate as there no buttons just a pressure sensitive strip which only works when it want to. And almost got it self thrown down the stairs.

Is it really that important? Haven't most of the LCD's people have been using before the new Samsung range (mainstream affordable anyway) been 16:10? i.e the 2232, 19" wide etc?

Well just got it now and i must say the 2494 is not all that great, the colours seem dull, monitor is very wide, although i may just need to get used to it :), the 2333sw may have been the better option :p

Can't go wrong with the 2333SW.

Just wish it had HDMI!

Yea this one does and i am actually warming to it.

for some reason my 1080p mkv file has these blacks bars but my divx's don't so it is the file not monitor :)

It's actually actually very good and i might buy an xbox now :).
