Samsung Omnia or HTC?

Hi all. Just wondering what people think which phone is better? I was considering an X1 but it seems from reading other threads that there are some problems with it?

Only Piesang is having problems with the X1. If you have a problem with it you can always return it. It's better than the equivalent HTC Touch HD and better priced (no contest with the Diamond). The Omnia is the best choice if you're on a limited budget.

if you have the choice go for sony x1... as orente said the x1 is must better than the htc phones. What the x1 offers not many phones can compare, just go and play around with an x1 and see for yourself!!

Omnia is definitely a very good buy bang for buck, i am impressed. I think the Diamond is clunky to use, although, both the Omnia and Diamond are windows mobile devices. However, value for money award goes to the Omnia where u get 16GB, Garmin, car charger and windscreen suction all included. Diamond u get squat, and only 8GB, u got to buy the rest, the choice is obvious

A mate of mine has an Omnia, the screen transitions & sliders are pretty sluggish...
Maybe I'm biased cos I generally don't touch Samsung electronics with a 10ft pole. And I'm also a big fan of the HTC...
The Omnia might be good, but the one I played with was rather disappointing

as i said, both are winmo devices, i can get my omnia to look and behave like an HTC if i wanted to.
the sweetner for me was the extra 8GB, Garmin for life and all the extras that came in the box, which u have to pay extra for when u buy the diamond

agreed, it swayed my decision as well. And the mapping is great. the touch is not the best ( i had an i-phone) and the battery life is disappointing....but overall the omnia is a great get...

and yes, i found the HTC diamond sluggish too..

X1 or Omnia - not HTC

I'm contemplating on changing phones as well. I have a KU990 and its done quite well for its price but now I'm confused between the Omnia and the X1. I think the diamond looks nice but is a bit sluggish. Of course the X1 *seems* to have some advantages over the Omnia except for the Memory and the Camera but, I'm not too sure which one to go for.

Personally I would take the HTC Touch Pro. The X1 is virtually the HTC's twin but I think HTC's being doing WM a lot longer than Sony so they would get my vote. The Omnia for me is a bit under powered, bit of a chick's phone and it's a Samsung. If you going to go for an Omnia I reckon you would be better served by a blingy iPhone 16GB. I also maintain the HTC Touch HD would run rings around the Omnia/iPhone everyday of the week...

From the Nokia range N96 is an obvious choice although defintely consider the N85, there quite a few people out there who believe the N85 is not only better value for money but as efficient a tool as the N96.

If you can wait the N97 promises to be an absolute winner.
