Samsung P2350 vs 2333SW

Hi Guys,

I have to choose between these 2 screens in the next couple of days. The screen will be used for gaming and movies, but also for photo editing by my wife.
Is there any advantage getting the one above the other, or any problems that I should be aware of?

P2350..the 2333sw has been around for a while already..still an awesome screen though!
 
We have this question 2 times a month ! Pls search the forums before posting . Btw they are both good , get whats cheapest

I have read all the threads I could find, I was enquiring more if there were any problems with colour representation of the 2 screens. Don’t want to save R200 on the 2333 and then regret it later with buying a lemon.
 
Hahaha ok :) then i say take the p2350 its newer , higher contrast and better response time ( i think , dont hold me to it ) have you looked at the 2494hs , thats also a stunning screen
 
I have looked at the 2494hs, but my only problem with it is the 23.6" size. It is not really a standard size LCD and I’m concerned if I want to get another 2494hs in a couple of month that they will be out-of-stock. I will then sit with a 23.6” screen and either a 23” or 24” next to it, and I like symmetry :) so that would bug me.

Thanks for the info so far, I’m leaning towards the P2350.
 
Have you considered the P2370? Its about the same price as the P2350 and looks better, its only 3cm thick.
 
Advantages of the P2350 over the 2333SW:
  • Faster response time: This would mean less motion blur when playing fast-paced games or movies.
  • Higher Dynamic Contrast Ratio: This translates to a higher difference between light and dark areas of the monitor and is most noticeable when viewing scenes that take place in dark settings

Advantages of the 2333SW over the P2350:
  • Matte Screen Surface: As apposed to the P2350's glossy screen surface that results in more glares.

If I were to choose, I would go for the P2350, unless there was a regular light source in front of the monitor that the P2350's glossy screen would reflect

Will have a look at the P2370. What is the price difference between the P2350 and P2370?

The glossy screen doesn’t really bother me; the window in the office is to the right side of the desk, so no lighting from behind to reflect on the screen.
 
Didnt want to start a complete new topic... But got an email from Cyberdyne that has a special on the 2333SW for R1700 exc. VAT it also includes an A4 Keyhoard and Mouse bundle... Ofcourse it isn't awesome, but it is probably valued at R200 or so, so you can sell it or use it on a more budget PC if need be...
 
is this the cheapest for a 23" currently then? Cyberdyne swoops it again!
o wait, I see zones have it for a fraction less, but then u must wait for shipping, coming from dbn
