I've been hearing all about this new 3G phone with all these cool features but what is the point? I think MTN should focus more on getting 3G rolled out than getting their 3G hardware out. My work takes me all over the northern and southern Johannesburg suburbs and I have yet to get a 3G signal from MTN. I currently use Vodacom for net access in these areas.)

The reason I signed up for a data card contract was to get access to 3G not Gprs, that I could get using my phone as modem. I did phone the coverage department and was told that their roll out will be complete by February 2007. To be honest I dont believe a word of it. I bet that by the time my contract expires in June 2007 it still wouldnt have happened.

There is talk that Virgin will also be rolling out 3G in SA in the near future. So if MTN dont start pulling finger I can see them losing many a customer in these areas.

Please be relevant!

I read the thread title and thought you'd post about your experience with the new phone from Samsung, but no, instead you bitched about MTN's 3G coverage. Please be relevant.
BTW, you don't need to have 3G coverage to watch DVB-H.

Good day,

MTN have been and still are in the process of 3G phase 2 roll out and this entire process should be completed by the latest July so I can assure you that we are doing our best to ensure the gaps get filled in terms of our 3G footprint
