Hi to all reading

I have a Samsung Plasma in living room, and Samsung LCD in Bedroom, Using Remote blaster for HD PVR... my problem is that when switching tv off in bedroom switches the tv on in living room and vise versa....may lead to domestic violence if not solved:erm:
Any easy solution to this?

Thanks in advance

Had the same issue at my folks holiday home, the tv and the aircon in the bedroom turns on the tv and aircon in the lounge. Pass get rid of the IR and make a better plan. like another decoder in the bedroom or PC or something.

need to buy another brand of tv for one of the room or swap the remote blaset for the multichoice tvlink eye thingie that only works directly to the decoder so only transmits the dstv remote commands and nothing else

I had the same issue, I placed a piece of cardboard in front of the tv's IR receiver, works as a temp solution. The tv in the lounge is on dstv anyway, so no need to use the tv remote.

EDIT: The tv eye thingy would be the solution. Just to lazy to go to the shops...

Yeah, I had the same sh it!!! In the end I put the secondary decoder in the same room as the 2nd tv. The 2 rooms are separated by a wall so a nice big hole drilled through the bottom of the wall allows the heartbeat cable as well as satellite 1 and 2 cables through to the 2nd room...

yeah just get a tvlink (R80 from multichoice) and they work much better then the ir blaster anyway

change to a battery RF to IR setup. They work great. You will only put the RF battery into the DSTV remote so it will not recieve and boost the tv remote. You can get them from HD Cabling

****. never thought of the tv link before. good shout.
