Hi MyBroadband Forumites

So I finally upgraded to a Samsung S4 Active through Vodacom.
Great phone for me but... crikey Moses wot-a-lotta-bloatware I got
Am trying to root it using the app at geohot.com/activeroot

Every dang time I run it, it fails to gain root access and error messages me that the app only works on an S4 Active
But that's what I have!

Phone: Samsung i9295 Galaxy S4 Active
Android 4.2.2
Kernel 3.4.0-820806
Build JDQ39.I9295XXUAMF5
Carrier: Vodacom South Africa

Has anybody successfully rooted their Vodacom S4 Active?

If you have a proven method... please please PLEASE do share!
Or point me to the right forum thread...

SUCCESS = YAY!

This is prolly old news to all you droid root gurus, so please forgive the n00b "bambi" and any failure to curb my enthusiasm...

I finally managed to root the S4 Active using an alternative method using CF-Auto-Root and Odin app
You will need a PC and Samsung Kies installed
