I have a Samsung LED Tv and have noticed recently it has started making 'ticking' noises from a specific point at the back top left of the TV when it is turned on. They start off fast and then get gradually slower until they completely cease after a while. It sounds like the same sound as when an electric fence comes into contact with some vegetation, only much less loud.

Any suggestions? Should I take it back?

Try turning off all the lights and see if you can see anything flashing through the airvents on the back when it's making the ticking noise. The LED fairies might be having union problems.

Can't see anything.

Switching power supplies can make a ticking sound, usually when they start to malfunction.

Its the capacitor thats slowly going.Samsung put cheap chinese capacitors in their 32-37 inch tvs.Mine was one of them and they refused to repair it although internationally they would repair it free of charge.Never bought Samsung again.Life's Good!

Iss it still under warrantee?

Yes it is.

Pooky, it's eventually going to fail when that starts happening. It's your power relay. You just need to replace the caps with higher voltage rated equivalents.
