Its a massive let down. Traffic was so quiet though as most people are off or working from home I recon. Have not seen any of the protest and I am next door to it, just lots of cop cars scattered around. Someone on my floor who walked through the marc on the way from the gautrain station said after all the hype it was a massive let down. Perhaps it will pick up momentum later.

Also, why Sandton ladies? You are protesting against abuse of women in the square mile of Africa that is arguably the least abusive spot on the whole continent. Shouldn't they be protesting outside SAB or something who promote drinking? Most women abuse I saw was after hubby got stone drunk and then decided it would be fun to smack a women around (reprehensible and disgusting in case you think I approve in any way of hitting a women). Or go to Luthuli house or something. Hitting up the JSE seems counterproductive if you ask me. Its targetting the closest thing you have to an understanding ally and annoying them after all.

Honestly I think the main reason is to try get money for nothing, and because Sandton is the safest place for women to stand on a street, so lets get together there and you know annoy people enough that our cause gets weakened.

The cause - 10/10
Implementation - 0/10

Just seen a new video of the crowd... I would peg it at most 1000 people, and thats a bit of a stretch really...

The best thing about the protest is the fact that there was virtually no traffic and the entire office is empty today. They need to do more of these things.

Would love to see some poll results on that crowd:

Monthly income?
How many kids do you have?
When did you have you first kid?
Where is he/are they now?
Do you know the child's father?
Where is he now?

You see? Women are protesting and all of sudden funny questions are asked?

My entire point is that these questions are never asked.
Maybe, just maybe the "old school" assumption that in the vast majority of cases kak people are the result of a kak upbringing is a more productive starting point...

No one certainly asked those questions when farmers were protesting about being killed, you do realise that it sound odd when they are asked when women are protesting about being killed?

The questions are not applicable to farmers... I also fail to see what they have to do with gender based violence.

I rather doubt how much of a slut a farmer is matters in that context.... or there is a whole other level of kinky involved.

My favorite question for a farmer...
