Has anybody got one of these tablets? I see incredible has them for R2000 for the 7" and R3500 for the 10.1".

Would love to get some feedback on them if anybody has one.

JSeen them, don't know anything about them. I would rather go for something like the MSI windpad enjoy 7" or Kindle Fire for R2k

I got one

I bought the 10" Sansui Lifepad 2 months ago. It is awesome. I have had no problems with it. Just after buying it I went to Oz for a month and took it with me instead of the laptop. I dont rlegret the decision once. The wifi is great and connected well everytime. The only down side is that the 3g card is an external Vodafone stick and does get a little annoying when plugged in as it hangs out the side unlike the Ipad which is internal. I think it is good value for money.

Please what is the battery life like? That's my biggest worry.
 
It's the normal price and judging by specs it looks okay, just remember it's a resistive touch screen not capacitive so you will need a stylus.
 
Yeah, resistive touchscreen is a no-no on a tablet IMO. Might be ok for a reader though.
 
Hi, slightly OT, but I have had one experience (couple of minutes) with a capacitive device and struggled to select compared with the resistive experience. For example a long thread will allow you a whole selection of pages [123456789...99 etc]. Is the precision on the capacitive selective enough to pick up my selection.

I have a Sansui lifepad etab 700. Does anyone know how to install play store on it, as i have tried 3 different versions by installing with an apk file but all of them close as soon as i open it (no error message)

Try installing the older market.apk first. It will upgrade, if compatible, to the play store.

or go 3rd party
 
The Sansui Lifepad ETAB 701 is going really cheap at a large retailer. Does anybody know if this is repackaged. I have contacted their local support/distro company Stylco but they don't seem to have much information.

It's on special for R999.99 at Hifi Corp. Can't seem to find any specs. According to the leaflet it comes with ICS, has a 1ghz processor n 7" tri-led capacitive screen. Any idea on the ram?
 
Also saw it @ hi-fi corp, if anyone buys one please let us know.
I do not expect it to be a powerhouse like the latest dual/quad cores, just something small kids can use
 
Just bought if for the GF. I have played some movies on it, installed a few ebook readers etc.. It runs admirably. it only has 4gig built in but can be expanded by 32gig sd card. The screen viewing angles a bit limited with the best quality coming from staring straight at the screen. Battery life is not all that hot with about 2-3 hours constant video. It charges very fast though. Wifi is very good and picks up well all over the house.

All in all, it is awesome for the price you get it for.
