I tried to remove the recovery partition on the c drive, made a USB recovery drive with an otg memory stick.
Now I can't recover as it needs a mouse and keyboard. Seems touch screen doesn't work in recovery and I need to get hold of a powered otg hub.

You can't install Windows 10 directly, there's no touch drivers. I tried. You need to recover to Windows 8.1 and then upgrade.Yeah but need to get it all up, may as well attempt Windows 10 on this now
Pro tip: Install Windows 8.1, upgrade to Windows 10. Make a system image.

So I just need the powered hub to get the keyboard, mouse and USB in? Sweet hopefully can be done once I get a hub.
Does the storage get better as the freaking thing was never used as it only has 300 Meg usable.

Windows 10 is much more relaxed on space but don't expect a lot. You can use a memory card and install your apps there.

After playing in the BIOS i managed to kill it totally, could not even switch on. Took it back.

Did you buy it directly in the shop or online?, If online just print out the order which should be linked to your account, i also did not have a receipt.

Yeah, i hear you....I actually bought 2, was that IC special @ R399, just got it for the 1 year Office 365 subscription which costs R999 standalone.
The only time i used it was when i got it, the other one is laying in my drawer, have absolutely 0 use if it. But one day.....

Honestly if the thing had just a bit more internal storage to upgrade to Win 10 it would be pretty useful. I used it for standby and playing some old GOG games.
