Sansui windows 8" WIB802

The latest version of Bluestacks won't install due to the RAM requirements not being met.

ok, i'll try some of the others, anyone else have any good or bad experiences with certain apps on this device, maybe if we have some kind of list we could streamline the usage of this pretty cool tab.

i bought it yesterday and i am satisfied with what it's giving me. haven't the chance yet to install many things but the social media experience, browsing and such lite tasks work very well, just the but load of updates was a little heavy on my data cap :D

1 other question i had is how did you guys setup your 802, strictly for performance or appearance also? i went with the performance but i find it still just a little bit laggy, although i read that might be because it's still updating, so i'm keeping my fingers crossed

I've done the update to the Windows 10 November Update/Build 10586.
I did a recovery to Windows 8.1 and then did the upgrade, which may a bit overkill for some.
If you run into an issue, after it's finished copying files, remove your memory card during the reboot before it gets to installing features and drivers.

this tab just became more awesome with the november update, apps can now be installed on the sd card, just go to the storage settings and change the location. been waiting a long time for this functionality.

I'm contemplating selling mine as I haven't used it apart from doing to upgrade to Windows 10.

If there's anyone that missed out on the deal a few months ago, PM me - Price would be the same as what I bought it for R1300. It's the HIFI corp "version" with the keyboard and cover.

Ordered mine yesterday from Incredible Connection online. Proper Black Friday deal for R999.90. (50% off). Next stop, Windows 10... :-! Hoping when I download the W10 ISO now using the tool it will be the latest build with the new major November updates.

Help.
How to you recover from a USB boot recovery drive?
I can boot up from the recovery USB drive but touchscreen don't work so can't continue with the setup.
I tried connecting a USB hub with flash drive and USB keyboard connected but no go. :(

Ideas?

Does your hub work while in Windows? You may need a externally powered hub or an OTG cable that accepts an USB input for more power (Y-Cable)

I've ordered: Universal Black MICRO USB HOST OTG A Female To Micro Male Y Splitter Power Cable

from eBay. I'm guessing this will supply enough power when I connect my non powered USB hub to this?

I want to make sure I get this right before I upgrade to Windows 10 and it wipes my recovery partition.

I finally did it! Just more than a week ago I bought myself the Sansui WIB802 windows 8.1 tablet. Almost straight after unboxing I started the Windows 10 upgrade. That was a mistake, the system upgraded but nothing worked, only usb. No touch screen, no bluetooth, nothing. I then rolled back to Windows 8.1. Started reading a little and found this forum among others. I then backed up my drivers and tried the upgrade again, it would not work because there was not enough space on the c:. Although there was 2.8GB free, W10 required onother 3GB to keep my files. This is when I noticed the W10 upgrade actually removed the recovery partition and made it a system folder on c:.

So, I downloaded the W10 iso on an SD card and started the installation saying keep nothing. The upgrade worked until 55% and then stalled. I switched of the tablet and let it roll back to W8.1. It then showed me that it faled on code 0xc1900101-0x30018. i followed all the advice... disable bluetooth, everything. I actually started looking into editing the disk from the UEFI!

Well today I actually got it right to boot from a USB drive and almost did a format-install, but that would mean I would have to buy a key for W10. So I decided instead to plug in a powered hub and do the upgrade from within W8.1 again, but this time running from the USB drive. It required a further 10GB space, I plugged in a 2TB external HDD. The upgrade went through keeping files and setting (drivers) without issues! the trick is to use usb. the upgrade kept stalling because there are no native drivers for the card reader. So, no SD card, upgrade from USB! It works!

Thanks.

Okay, eBay taking toooo long.
Where can one get a reasonable priced external powered USB hub locally?
Tx

With nothing installed this thing has no space :(. Windows 8 keeps wanting to update but it can't

With all this drama with updates/storage.. just add a few bokke and get the Lenovo miix 2 8" from makro @R1999.

Slightly better cpu, 64gb storage, 2gb ram, 3g, no windows 10 update drama. And apparantly supports 128gb sdcards, got a 64gb working no probs.

Only downside, no office 365 1 year sub.
