Well thats good news, what are they paying percentage wise?
 
Did you disclose that it was a code 2 vehicle when you insured it? If that was now only discovered at claims stage, you will obviously get less than the "normal" market value of a similar vehicle. The specific vehicle's general condition & mileage also affects the value you would be paid out.

At the salvage you get the vehicle at a bargain price; but I've learned my lesson to keep records of every single thing I fix.

Just never buy and try insure a code 3 vehicle, you'll pay heavy premiums and get little out thats if you can obtain insurance through a reputable insurer.
